BBC NEWS Coronavirus: Your pictures of lockdown at home
We asked our readers to send in their pictures of life at home during lockdown due to the spread of the coronavirus. Here are some of the pictures sent to us from across the UK.
BBC has been publishing daily photo-stories on the subject of isolation, frequently changing the theme, in this case being home life. They have selected various images that show peoples personal life during lockdown and what they get up to. I admire this particular series, as it has many styles, all of which work for different reasons.

This image has a really simple concept. It is simply of two pairs of shoes, but in a photo-story, it sometimes works well to have some still lifes to further add context or to almost act as thinking breaks in a story. The image appears to have been taken in natural lighting from a window and has been shot inside. The two bright colours work well in bringing contrast and making the standard shot a little more interesting.

I chose to analyse this image because of how alternative it is. It tells the story of a teenager being addicted to being on her phone during lockdown, but it shows it from a different perspective, making it more interesting. The lighting source is natural lighting coming from the window behind the subject. The windows are quite big meaning a lot of light is coming into the shot. The photographer is positioned in front of the subject, who has her feet up on the table. They have positioned the camera at the same level as the surface.
