Light set up
As I have previosly used natural lighting and flash, I thought I should experiment with ‘studio lighting’. As I don’t have any studio lighting at home I had to make do with my dad’s fishing light set up. I shot outside in a shaded area and used two lights. One was to the left of the subjects head and one in front the opposite way. After moving them around and experimenting, I found this was the most even and successful option.

Over all I am very pleased with the outcome of this shoot. I set out to achieve some side portraits using specific lighting to create bold and interesting portraits. I feel as if I have achieved my goal and there are definelty some usuable images from the shoot. I kept in mind my target audience and magazine and did the model’s hair and make up in order to create a specific look for the shoot. The images are quite dark as I under exposed so I could lighten them in photo shop. I only plan to make subtle changes, such as lifting the exposure.
