Outline: For this shoot I will be completeting a fashion shoot. My previous shoots have consisted of natural lighting and camera flash, this time I will be using DIY studio lighting. I also plan to use a studio kind of set up, using a background.
Target audience: My target audience for the images are young adults, of a student/ grad background who are interested in art and fashion. I will keep this in mind whilst shooting and make sure I refer to my chosen magazine, 1 Granary.
Lighting: For this shoot I will use lighting I have at home. I will be using a flood light, probably on a low setting and a reflector on the other side to bounce back some of the light. I will adjust accordingly during the shoot, depending on the results.
Background: I will be shooting outside. I will use a sheet as a backdrop to create a on set background. I don’t want the outcome to look like a perfect studio set up, instead, like my research and chosen magazine, I would like the results to be artsy and edgy.
Subject: I will be using my younger sister as I am limited with my options due to the restrictions regarding covid 19. I chose her as she has brightly coloured hair, which I thought would work with the type of shoot I am planning and would be relevent to my target audience.

Eddie Chacon
I am using Chacon as inspiration for using a prop. I chose this image to research so I could replicate the models interation with a prop to pose. I would also like to create a similar theme in my work to bring a more interesting outcome in comparison to an average stood up pose. I am also going to use backdrop sheets in a similar way.

Charlotte Rutherford
Rutherford creates studio portraits. She uses bright colours and often uses hair styles to create shapes. I chose this image as inspiration because of how strong it looks. I like the strong colours and using a side profile for a potrait. I also could use the lighting by having two sources, one on each side, similar to this.

Lina Tesch
Using a backdrop outside as a on set studio. I plan to create similar outcomes that show the studio outside in a real kind of way, rather than isolating the subject in a studio set up, I would like to create ‘behind the scene’ outcomes as I feel they suit my target audience more.
