AD4803 Studio// Shoot one- contact sheets and reflection

This is my first official shoot for the project. I used natural lighting and some flash too. I am pleased with the outcomes and feel they suit the style of my chosen magazine 1 Granary. I shot the images in my garden as my first location for the project. Prior to the shoot I planned the best places I could use as my studio and found that my garden offers enough places to create a decent shoot. I referred to my research whilst shooting in order to think about style, backgrounds and directing the model. I am glad I did research prior to shooting as it made the process easier and more effective.

I really enjoyed the shoot and am pleased with the results. I do feel as if the images suffer with shadows under the ye area which do let them down. During the editing process I will try to lift them as much as possible, but this is somehting I will have to make sure I avoid in future shoots. I will a reflector or white card to bounce up some light back into the subjects face.

Amber Byrne Mahoney

Mahoney shoots in natural daylight and shoots fashion portraits outside, something I tried to do in this shoot.

Anna Fox

Fox shoots using harsh flash in daylight. The results are strong contrast and seperating the subject from the background and making them pop, this was my main inspiration for the style of shoot.
