AD4802 Photo-Story// Shoot two plan

Where:

Abbey wood retail park, Bristol

When:

Mid-day in the shadow. Shops are busier, can take advantage of the sunlight, shadows and contrast.

How:

Use car and shoot through window. Park car and shoot people from car park. Also try taking some from within the supermarket and in the line.

Why:

Document the pandemic and show how bizarre simple, repetitive tasks like shopping have become such eventful and strange activities.

Lighting: Natural and tungsten depending on being inside or outside

Artist Inspiration:

Stuart Franklin- Finding a subject that stands out from crowd and focus on them. Look for things like gloves and masks

David Hurn– Frame within a frame. Shoot through things and make the shot more interesting by framing the subject with an object and break up the frame

Composition: Make sure background and surroundings compliement subject and aren’t distracting and if they are shoot with a shallow depth of field to isolate subject and blur out messiness.

Colour: Look for colours that add to the subject. Use colours that are repetitive and make them stand out to benefit shot
