Day five: light and colour
A day spent in the garden making the most out of the sun. Following my cat, Lottie in the garden and using the colour green. Persuading Kerys to come outside (lasted 10 minutes) and dad sits in the shade on his newly painted bench.
Day seven: Portraits of isolation- Frame within frame
Decided to document the reality of isolation more clearly. Made Kerys stand in doorway to show the place she has to isolate. Referring to using frame within frame, the door way and windows.

For these images I reffered to my research of Martin Parr’s Magnum feature on covid-19. He used windows as a way of documenting people and framing them, creating a visual seperation of isolation. I also used Carolyn Drake’s approach of using a frame within a frame. I often shot off centre, much like both, Drake and Parr. Jean Gaumy was another photographer I researched prior to this shoot. She shot a family through a window, showing their boredom and they self isolated due to being infected with covid-19. I admired her efforts in framing the subjects and creating a visual seperation between her and the subjects, highlighting the subject behind the image.
Day eight: Composition
Ventured out to do the foodshop. Lines are getting longer and the process is more structured. I admired Asdas attempt of creating a pathway using trolleys.

Day nine: Documentary style
Went to my mums house, where she is isolated with my brother and other sister after recieving some bad news.
