Hair and makeup throughout the decades

I have decided to use the studio project as a way of documenting hair and makeup throughout history. I plan to complete various shoots; each focusing on a different decade and represent a different decade in each. Through my project I will looking at popular magazines, such as vogue, in order to gain an understanding of how the covers and styles of photography changed as time progresses. In order to make the project as authentic as possible, I will be changing the fashion, hair styles and make up of the model, as well as the style of photography and lighting, to gain a true representation of each decade.

I have contacted a make-up and hair student who is willing to accompany me on shoots, to style the model. I feel as if this contact will help me achieve the outcome I am aiming for and finalise the goal I am envisioning. Prior to the first shoot, I plan to complete a few test shoots in order to get an understanding of using the studio to the best of my abilities and gain an understanding of how to use the lighting.
