Plan A:
The title of my project is, ‘A young mum’. This photo-story will follow the early stages of a young mum’s journey in motherhood. In today’s society being a young mum is generally frowned upon, so I would like to document what the reality is. I will produce multiple shoots focusing on various aspects of what it means to be a parent at a young age. This will include; the struggles of adapting, the bond between mother and child, still life shots of home and various other documentations.
My aim in this photo-story is to give people an insight into the realities of motherhood from the perspective of a young mum. I plan to open the story with a shot from the morning and have the closing shot taken at night time, putting the outcomes in a chronological order. I feel as if this will work with the story, as it will be of a true representation of the daily routine of the mum and baby.
Plan B:
My back up plan is to shoot a photo story following my dad carp fishing. Carp fishing has always been a big hobby of his, something he is really passionate about. I will follow him on a trip to France and document the process of carp fishing, from preparing bait and setting up, to the catch itself.
The purpose of the story would be for an insight into the process of fishing and what the hobby consists of.
